It upsets me very much that Dr's and insurance's will help people who travel here from 3rd world country's and help illegals in our country, but they won't help citizens of our country.

You mentioned operation blessing the 700 Club. They are behind the mercy ship . Why not contact them. It's worth a try. I pray that God opens doors that you need to walk through and closes doors that leads to nothing . Blessings to the whole family

My daughter was born with a cleft lip and I couldn't afford surgery. She had one surgery as an infant but when she was a teenager, I put in an application to the Smile network. They did a second surgery for completely free. And they did such a wonderful job!. Now, we were close to Dallas, so it was easier than what you are facing. But maybe they would make a way for you to travel to an area and give her the surgery. I wish I could help. 😪 My heart goes out to her and you as parents. OK, the ACA is not supposed to, by federal law, exclude pre-existing conditions. Write to your congressman, and senator and I will see if I can find that clip from the recent debate where Biden claimed he ended the pre-existing conditions exclusions for health insurance.

Would local media highlight Grace's story?

I have a first cousin who was born with cerebral palsey and her twin was stillborn. Your story is similar to your story. She lives in Western WI and is now in her 60s. I also have a great nephew who was born with hydrocephalus. He is about 6 and has already had ovee a dozen surgeries and numerous emergency hospitalization. He has been able to doctor in The Twin Cities in MN although has always lived in Western WI. You are so right, the medical necessities pile up into the millions. And nobody wants to do those necessary things because it interferes with their personal quest to become wealthy doctors. I hurt in my heart for your family and love you in Jesus from afar.

My heart and prayers go out to your family! You don't really understand, until you are that family. I have a micro preemie granddaughter. She was 1, in a set of twins. She weighted in at 1 pound 6 ounces. Her sister did not survive, she weighted in at 1 pound 9 ounces. Sidney was born first and her head hit the table, as she was born. Which caused a brain bleed that was catastrophic. I tell my children that she made the ultimate sacrifice any human can make for another. She gave her life for her smaller sister Sophia. Sophia is about to turn 17 months. She has a g tube, which she removed on her own. She is beautiful! A miracle child. All children are, Sophia just opened my eyes totally to that fact! I will spare you the rest of the story. I understand your frustration. I have ideas. I am sure that these are ideas you have already had. I will pray for an answer to come.

Take Grace to Jesus, in the most Blessed Sacrament in every Tabernacle in every Catholic Church. Ask Him what you need face to face. Hes waiting for you. ❤

We are praying for your daughter. Praying a great doctor's heart would be touched and his crew would catch his vision and your daughter would be on a great road to recovery. God bless in Jesus Christ's precious name.

What we have done with our daughter is gotten on a payment plan, but in the mean time, we send the bill to the insurance co and take what we get and offer that as payment in full. Most times we get 80% and the drs and hospitals are happy to settle for that amount. That said... our daughter needs a procedure done for vulvula H.S. that if a male dr had this issue, he'd be sure to have it fixed. Our insurance will cover it, but the drs are giving us the run around for the past 6 years. BTW... she has Down syndrome, high function, very smart and has started voicing that it is her right to be healed. Likely is we will have to fly from nj to ca to have it done and we too are on a tight budget. Its infuriating.

Can I make a suggestion? Set up a Go Fund Me or better yet, set up a bank account just for Grace’s medical expenses. Those of us who are able, can Zelle money or wire money into that account without getting hit with a bunch of fees. Go Fund Me would probably take half. Use that money to pay the monthly bill to upgrade your Insurance that covers most of the expenses. I think that would work. Let us know!

Have you tried Contacting Shriners hospital for children? I will look up were the cranial facial hospital is. Im a disabled fellow wisconsonite aka cheese head who tries to help others. They do surgeries and help in all ways including food, transport, room & board . Maybe with the grace of God they can do something to help.Theres one in minnisotta and one in chicago for craniofacial.

My friend had beautiful reconstructive surgery. cranial facial. She was born with half a face. She had many many surgeries. The last one was very evasive, but the drs did a very good job. At Universty Hospital Cleaveland Ohio . I dont know if you can go to Ohio or not.

I am just devastated for you as parents. I am new here and don't know how old Grace is but I have the thought that perhaps a social worker at St. Jude's can help you find the care you need. If the work could be done through their network perhaps the costs would be picked up. I have no experience with St. Jude, but even if they can't help you there could be a way they could get you the medical help you need. I am praying for you.

I have been watching Osbourne Head and Neck Institute. They do absolutely marvelous work in your country and also do missions overseas in poor countries. They also work with veterans who have been let down by the system. They also take on charity cases now and then. I pray that you consider this, fill out the forms and let God do the rest. I will certainly do what I can from New Zealand. Praise God!
